Ductless mini-split installation

Good equipment deserves a careful installation.

Licensed to Chill

The line set, flares, pressure test, evacuation and commissioning decide whether a mini-split delivers quiet, efficient comfort for years. Jon documents the numbers instead of guessing. Mini-split line sets use flare connections tightened to the specified torque, without brazing. Single heads are Jon’s focus; he will explain the best layout for your home.

  • Single-zone mini-splits, selected for your space
  • Clean exterior line-hide and equipment pads
  • Nitrogen pressure testing and deep evacuation
  • Heating and cooling performance verification
Oregon BCD Mechanical Minor Label ProgramEligible residential mini-split installations receive an Oregon mechanical minor-label permit. Other permits are obtained as required.

Customer hires a licensed electrician for line-voltage electrical work and the electrical permit. Jon provides equipment specifications and coordination; Jon Hughes Construction does not perform line-voltage electrical work.

The work behind the machine matters most.

We don’t release refrigerant and hope. We prove the circuit is tight, clean and dry—then prove the system performs.

Jon is the best HVAC guy in the world... cares about doing the best job possible, at an affordable price. He has the best, state-of-the-art HVAC tools. Mini splits installed by Jon will last longer because he is meticulous about the install, and then following up with a pressure test and vacuum decay test before charging the system. His vacuum procedure, tools, and final test are light years ahead of other HVAC techs.

The deck looks amazing! I can't thank you enough. It's so hard for my 90 yr. old mom to trust anybody... especially after being married to a perfectionist carpenter for 65 years! She really liked you and your kindness reduced her stress immensely. Please know that in these troubling times you have brought peace and joy to this family. We will always call you first from now on!
